Key Facts
Milestones & Growth:
The Agoyu app delivers instant AI quotes, a process that historically took weeks, in under an hour. It displays up to 25 mover options after a quick inventory scan.
Agoyu Timeline
The idea is born
After managing more than 100,000 employee relocations through ARC Relocation, one problem became obvious:
Nobody actually knew what a move should cost.
- Consumers filled out forms.
- Leads were sold.
- Movers guessed.
- Prices changed.
The industry hadn’t fundamentally changed in nearly 100 years.
Agoyu was founded to solve that problem.
Building AI before AI was mainstream
Development began using real relocation data from ARC Relocation.
Thousands of household shipments were analyzed to teach machine learning:
- What actually ships
- What stays behind
- Typical household inventory
- Weight by item
- Cubic volume
- Pricing relationships
This became one of the first AI models trained specifically for moving.
AI goes live internally
The first production version was deployed inside ARC Relocation.
Rather than replacing relocation experts, AI worked alongside counselors to learn from every shipment.
Every estimate improved the model.
The first digital bill of lading, “smart inventory contract”
For the first time, consumers could receive an exact digital inventory tied directly to a guaranteed moving price.
- No handwritten inventories.
- No estimates changing later.
- One inventory.
- One price.
This became the foundation of deterministic pricing.
AI identifies an entire home in under three minutes
Agoyu reached a breakthrough.
Consumers could simply walk through their home with their phone.
AI automatically identified every item and produced an inventory in under three minutes.
- No appointments.
- No measuring.
- No surveys.
Generative AI changes everything
When ChatGPT introduced conversational AI to the world in late 2022, Agoyu accelerated its roadmap.
Instead of simply recognizing furniture, Agoyu began combining computer vision, large language models, marketplace intelligence, and pricing algorithms to automate the entire moving process, from inventory creation to booking.
That marked the transition from AI-assisted estimating to fully autonomous moving logistics.
The death of affiliate marketing, anonymous reverse marketplace created
Agoyu identified the biggest flaw in online moving.
Traditional websites sold consumer information. Agoyu flipped the model.
Instead of selling leads:
- Consumers anonymously posted their move.
- Licensed movers competed for the business.
- Personal information remained private until the customer selected a mover.
Marketplace reaches an average of 25 quotes
Instead of receiving one or two estimates, consumers now received approximately 25 competing prices from top moving companies for the same shipment.
Real competition. Real pricing.
Agoyu AI exceeds 98% pricing accuracy
After millions of learned data points, Agoyu’s AI consistently predicted shipment weights (which determine moving costs) with approximately 98% accuracy, allowing movers to confidently offer guaranteed pricing.
Movers prove they trust Agoyu’s AI by guaranteeing pricing on over 97% of the moves booked in the platform.
Trust Signals launched
Choosing a mover became as important as comparing prices. But there is no Amazon or Expedia for moving.
Agoyu introduced the first online resource with Trust Signals for moving, displaying:
- USDOT licensing
- Safety records
- BBB ratings
- Yelp reviews
- IAM accreditation
- FIDI accreditation
- Years in business
- And more
Consumers could finally compare movers using objective unbiased data from public sources, not affiliate marketing fake “top mover lists”.
Public launch
Agoyu officially launched for consumers publicly.
For the first time, anyone moving could:
- Scan their home
- Receive an AI-generated inventory
- Compare guaranteed prices
- Compare customer service reviews
- Book online
No sales calls. No home surveys. No waiting.
U.S. utility patent granted
The U.S. Patent Office granted Agoyu’s utility patent covering its AI-powered moving cost estimation and marketplace technology. The patent validated the company’s approach to automated inventory creation, real-time pricing, and marketplace matching.
Realtor.com partnership
Agoyu became Realtor.com’s AI-powered moving solution, allowing home buyers and renters to receive moving quotes directly while shopping for homes. The integration brought Agoyu’s technology to one of the largest real estate audiences in the United States.
